Sections

For selected fields of work the Society has formed sections. They serve the communication and practical co-operation of the members interested in a special topic.

The sections participate in the programme of the meetings of the Society. Some section meetings thereby offer the possibility of lecturing and discussing topics from special fields of interest in front of a circle of competent experts.

Each member of the Society has the right to collaborate in the section of his choice. The membership in a section is obtained by a written statement directed to the society's office.

If a section meets within the scope of the Statistical Week or the Pentecost Meeting, a general "call for papers" goes to the members. Papers announced must contain an informative summary, even better an elaborated version of the contents. As a rule, a selection procedure is carried out among the papers announced.
