Welcome to the German Statistical Society e.V. (DStatG)

On September 23, our longtime friend and honorary member of the German Statistical Society, Almut Steger, passed away after a brief illness. For many decades, she was actively involved in the DStatG, first as Chairman (1984–1988) and later as Treasurer and Member of the Board (1989–2006). In addition, her spirited engagement in discussions enriched countless statistical colloquia, and she participated in nearly every Statistical Week over the past 50 years.

Her contributions and dedication will remain in our grateful memory.
