junior Workshop

Since 1994, Young Researchers Workshops have been organized annually. At these workshops up to 25participants have the opportunity to present their research, work and have discussions with the leading experts. The research advancement of young scientists is a major concern of the German Statistical Society. In addition to the annual meeting, where they can present their work to a broad audience, there are also Young Researchers Workshops where a more individual and intensive presentation and discussion of ongoing or completed research projects are carried out. The participants should not exceed 25 people.

Up to four renowned university professors are at disposal as discussion partners, besides the other participants. The requirement for an invitation is an accepted Abstract of a completed or under progress dissertation or study by the organizer.

The aim of the young research round is to provide subject-specific advice and suggestions for further work. Even considerations for future career of young researchers can be made.
